Life in Nebraska was a mostly
rural one for Heinrich (Henry) and Louisa Niedermeyer, much like the
family life of their German ancestors, when the couple married in
1882 and settled on a farm just outside Talmage in Southeast
Nebraska. There they raised eight children - Minnie, Louis, Henry,
Fred, Herman, Paul, Oscar, and Ella.
The region continues to be a
farming community to this day.
